The REAL Clinic was developed and established by Dr Naveen Cavale, a consultant plastic surgeon, Dr Robbie Walker, a consultant ophthalmologist, Dr Neel Desai, a consultant anaesthetist, and Dr Jonathan Hewitt, a consultant physician, as a fully equipped and self sufficient day case hospital to facilitate the best possible patient care.


Our aim as a multidisciplinary team was to build something based on how it should be done, not how it has always been done. Further, we wanted to challenge conventional thinking, and build and set up something outstanding that was based on function and need and which would deliver a superior experience for patients, aestheticians, doctors, surgeons and all other staff.

We currently accept NHS referrals for the following specialties:

  • Eyes (Ophthalmology)
    Timely access to cataract assessments, YAG laser, and general ophthalmology.
  • ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
    Including nasal obstruction, tonsils, hearing concerns, and dizziness.
  • Breast Reduction Surgery
    For patients meeting NHS criteria and referred through standard pathways.
  • Hand & Wrist
    Carpal tunnel, trigger finger, ganglion cysts, and more.
  • Vascular 
     EVLT (Endovenous Laser Therapy) Minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins in a calm, clinical setting.
