PATIENT EXPERIENCE

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR TIME AT THE REAL CLINIC

Here at The REAL Clinic, we understand that your choice to undergo any procedure or treatment is one that has involved a lot of careful consideration, research and emotion. Our understanding team know that this decision was not taken lightly, and we strive to treat every patient with care, compassion and respect, always putting your comfort and safety first.

UPON YOUR ARRIVAL

On arrival at The REAL Clinic, you will be greeted by your patient coordinator, who will book you in and seat you, ready for your consultation, treatment or procedure.

Our aim is to make sure all of our patients feel calm and relaxed before meeting their experienced clinician or practitioner. You will be asked to confirm your details. When your healthcare professional is ready to see you, you will be escorted through to one of our luxurious and sophisticated treatment rooms.

You will always be greeted with a smile at The REAL Clinic.

YOUR CONSULTATION

During your personalised consultation, your meticulous practitioner will ask you a series of questions to understand your medical history, lifestyle and desired outcomes. This is your opportunity to ask them plenty of questions as well. Some patients may find it helpful to jot down a list of questions to ask on the day so that all your needs can be addressed and met, leaving you feeling reassured and supported. It is important to us that you are happy with the proposed treatment plan prior to consenting to it.

AESTHETICS

On the day of the aesthetic treatment, you will arrive at The REAL Clinic prior to your appointment. Your patient coordinator will be on hand to tend to your needs, be that to settle any nerves, lend a compassionate ear or make you a warm cup of tea. We are here to make sure that you time with us is enjoyable, all that you would expect and luxurious. You will find that you are well cared for, and we will always take the time to make sure you are completely happy with every step of your journey as well as your aesthetic results.

SURGERY

If you are having surgery, you will be greeted by the patient coordinator once you arrive and led to the ambulatory bays. You will then be admitted by the ambulatory nurse, and reviewed by the consultant anaesthetist and surgeon who will consent you in person for the anaesthesia and surgical procedure. This is an important opportunity to dot the i's and cross the t's, answering any further questions you may have and providing a detailed overview of what the anaesthesia and surgery entail as well as what to expect in the postoperative period. Should you have sedation or general anaesthesia, then you will be cared for in recovery once you wake up by the recovery nurse. You will be safe hands and we will always do our very best.

AFTERCARE

Your treatment does not end when you leave the clinic. This is simply the start. Our team will follow up with you on the days following your treatment, just to make sure you are still feeling great! If you have any concerns at all following treatment, our aftercare plan will ensure you always have access to one of our experienced clinicians or practitioners. You will never feel alone at The REAL Clinic. We are on this journey with you.
